Year-by-year projection

How this projection works

Each year, the calculator adds your and your employer's contributions, then credits a dividend on the balance. Your salary rises by the increase you entered. The final amount is in future ringgit, so it will buy less than the same amount today because of inflation. Raising the salary increase and lowering the dividend is a quick way to test a cautious scenario.

Ways to grow your EPF faster

  • Voluntary contributions: top up through i-Saraan or voluntary savings. Self-employed members can get a government incentive under i-Saraan.
  • Leave Akaun Fleksibel alone: money you withdraw stops earning dividends.
  • Negotiate higher employer EPF: some employers offer more than the statutory rate as a benefit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the latest EPF dividend?

For 2025, EPF declared 6.15% for both Simpanan Konvensional and Simpanan Shariah, announced on 28 February 2026. The dividend for 2026 will be announced in early 2027.

How is the EPF dividend calculated?

EPF uses a daily balance method. Money already in your account earns the full year's dividend, while each monthly contribution earns dividend from the month it is credited. This calculator approximates that by giving new contributions about half a year of dividend.

What are the three EPF accounts?

Since May 2024, new contributions are split into Akaun Persaraan (75%, for retirement), Akaun Sejahtera (15%, for housing, education and health withdrawals) and Akaun Fleksibel (10%, which you can withdraw at any time).

Is the EPF dividend guaranteed?

Simpanan Konvensional has a legal minimum dividend of 2.5% a year. Anything above that depends on EPF's investment performance, so future dividends can be higher or lower than past ones.
